Open-Source Tools

A growing ecosystem of open-source tools is built on top of HikerAPI:

  • insto — an async Python Instagram OSINT CLI with an interactive REPL and scriptable one-shot mode. HikerAPI is the default backend, so no Instagram login is required. It supports familiar Osintgram-style workflows and adds commands for geo fingerprinting, follower intersection, posting-cadence analysis, snapshot/watch/diff, and Maltego CSV export.   • insta-dl — an async Instagram downloader CLI for profiles, posts, reels, stories, highlights, hashtags, and comments, saved to disk with original timestamps and JSON metadata sidecars. Uses HikerAPI as the default backend (no Instagram login). Docs: subzeroid.github.io/insta-dl.
  • instagram-downloader-tgbot — a Telegram bot that downloads Instagram posts, reels, stories, and highlights from a shared link. Built with Python and Docker on top of HikerAPI, so no Instagram login is required.
  • tiktok-downloader-tgbot — a Telegram bot that returns watermark-free TikTok videos from any link, built with aiogram and powered by LamaTok, our TikTok API.
  • instagram-osint-tgbot — a Telegram bot for Instagram OSINT: profile lookups, media downloads, social-graph analysis (followers, following, mutuals), and contact/metadata extraction, powered by HikerAPI.
